Today the Justice Department filed suit to block AT&T’s proposed takeover of T-Mobile. This is big news in the media reform world. This meant free press went in to a rapid response mode and I needed to come up with a little graphic to represent what happened. After fussing around with a few mediocre ideas I went with the first image above. Free Press has come under pressure for using company logos so they asked me to switch it to pink to represent the T-Mobile part of the merger and to take it a step away from the actual AT&T logo. They also asked me to switch the expression of the character because people didn’t want viewers to feel sorry for AT&T.
