My name is Bill.
I just moved to New Orleans. I took a year long position through the Digital Arts Service Corps at the Community Center of St Bernard Parish. I'm pretty excited.
I'm also a project based artist, here are some projects I have done/am doing.

Stuffed Robot Introduces ZOMBOT - The head of a robot on a quest for braaaaains!
Stuffed Robot introduces ROXYBOT - The next generation of rock and roll, Roxybot was designed to move the crowd. From power chords to sweep arpeggios, this female know how to melt faces. However, glam rock is cruel mistress, and the vivacious vixen fell from grace. Kindly give a home to this robot rocker.
Tonight Jessie and I evaluated the diet a little bit and both stressed how we want to quit. It seems the cons outweigh the pros. We are gonna keep with it though for the time being.
Pros: I feel healthy, I like having lots of produce around, I’m eating new things, pretty much everything I consume is super natural and super good for you.
Cons: very expensive diet, it takes a lot of time to juice the green lemonade and to make a lot of the meals, I am having trouble finding the time and energy to exercise, lots of headaches, it sucks having to limit yourself basic foods especially in a food-focused city like New Orleans, I sometimes feel sick I think basically because my body is digesting different types of food. Even though its a good change in diet, I think the change itself might be causing me some stress. I dunno, just my thoughts.
I absolutely love the whitehouse’s official photostream on flickr. I dont really consider myself a photographer, but every photo I see on there is extremely inspiring to me. I think they do a great job at balancing documentation and design.
Jess and I have started the raw food detox diet. Are goal is to do it until christmas, and hopefully walk away with some healthier eating habits. A big part of the diet is drinking this ‘green lemonade’ every morning.
To make green lemonade, throw into your juicer:
Celery
Kale
apples
lemon
ginger
I’m gonna post my meals as I eat them on my flickr.
And when the Saints came roaring out of the tunnel to start the game, the fans roared right back: at 105 decibels. And they sustained that noise level through the kickoff.
But that apparently was just the beginning. The decibels increased with the Saints’ first touchdown, up to 110 decibels. The second touchdown measured 111 decibels. And the third, shortly before the end of the half, measured 108 decibels…
When the Patriots failed to make that fourth-down conversion in the third quarter, the Dome responded at 119 decibels.
So the most popular service that we provide at the Community Center where I work, is our food pantry. For the past 2 years the govt has given Louisiana food banks 5 mil to make sure the shelves were stocked post Katrina and during the recession. This year the Jindal administration cut it back 90% to just 500 K. As a result our food pantry has been giving out less and less food every week. I started a blog to kind of document our situation. Give it a look if you have a second. link
Following the lead of talented wfu designer Caryn Kesler’s missed connections infographic of San Francisco, I made one for New Orleans. Full pdf here.
